As a youth I learned to appreciate the artistry and freedom that photography provided. It allowed me the ability to communicate complex messages, themes, and emotions. My enjoyment led to my attendance at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA where I learned the skills necessary to turn my passion into a business. Now days I specialize in newborn and family photography in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. As a mother of two, newborn and family photography have become increasingly important to me as a means of capturing my children's intimate moments and personal history.
This is Allison. Her shoot was such a dream. I actually went to school with her mom all the way through high school. I love it when I get to reconnect with people from the past and meet their littles. Especially when they are this cute!
Allison's session was a breeze. This image is one of my favorites from her shoot. Her sister Mia, 2 1/2 years old, was also present at the shoot and is just as adorable as Allison.
With Easter right around the corner I was super excited when one of my vendors sent me this darling hat! I had envisioned this shot in my head for about a week in anticipation of Allison's shoot. I wanted to encapsulate an organic, chic, clean image of Easter and it's colors
I wanted to try something new, so I went for a darker image. This image is a composite that I have had stored for a while now. I had a hard time working with it until I met this angel.
Meet Allison. She was 18 days old in this image. I was not sure of how her shoot would go. Her commute was 1.5 hours to my studio, so she slept the entire way here. I was so nervous that she wouldn't sleep for me. Boy was I wrong! She slept like a champ and made my job look easy!
This is the handsome little Mateo. He was such a dream to work with! His mother reached out to me on instagram after posting one of my winnings with baby photo awards. It was such an honor to work with this family!
Mateo's Mom is A native Texan. I wanted to incorporate a bit of home for her, and when I think of Texas I think of horses! A saddle seemed like the perfect fit.
Meet the delicate, beautiful Sophia. Sophia is the daughter of my brothers best friend. Her beautiful hair and skin tones screamed pastels to me! This is my favorite image from her session.
This is Rheeya. My wonderful friends at DoGoodDecor.com provided the darling tie back for this image. Her name made me think of ray of light. I wanted her angelic nature to shine through.
This is a one of a series of composites I did for this shoot. When I met Skylar my vision wanted to encapsulate the love and beauty that she is surrounded by.
Oh he's such a handsome little fellow! His deep sleeping skills were out of control and made my job so much easier! Christmas time was clearly in full effect.
This is a composite of my daughter Cambria. She is 1.5 years old and will soon be a big sister to another little girl! I wanted her to pop with all the beautiful colors around her, so I placed her in this darling little dress that her cousin gave her.
This is Mac and his Daddy who is a San Francisco firefighter. This was such a fun shoot at their home! For the safety of baby this is a composite shot.
This is my daughter Cambria. We recently visited Santa's Tree farm in Half Moon Bay, CA and they had this perfect bridge! Her brother was running all over the place and in this very moment she was starring at him because he had fallen down and was crying.
Meet Ibhan! He is named after the Indian God Lord Ganesh Ibahn. His parents wanted to represent his name in an image so I created a composite shot because I clearly don't have a budget to rent an elephant for the day:) . The first thing that came to mind was wanting him to have a grand presentation to the Indian God and what better way to do that then with one hand of each parent. I am so in love with this image that I just may hang it in my own home.
Ibhan had a tough time sleeping this day. Although he was awake, he was really calm. After he wore himself out viewing the new world around him his eyes finally closed and he went into the most darling peaceful sleep. This is a composite shot in which I wanted to represent the bright colors of the Indian culture.
Little Miss Grace was such a pleasure to work with and curled up into a little ball so well. This is a composite shot that I had been wanting to do for months! I love rocking chairs and Grace was a perfect fit for the job.
This is my daughter Cambria Harlow. She was born in August 2016 and is now a little over a year old. Being my first girl I wanted a bright image that spoke to her vivid personality.
Meet Valentina and Francesco. Their home is filled with love and strength. Getting to know a family a little throughout the session always helps inspire my creativity more even after the shoot. I knew leaving this session I needed to make something special for this family that would speak to them.
This is a photo with a cause. " Unite and Save the Earth " This image is dedicated to all the protestors of the Dakota Oil pipeline.
Meet Mak and his dog Buddy. Mak's Daddy is a San Francisco fireman. His dog buddy wondered into the fire station one day and became part of the family.
Up,up, and away! He was such a champion sleeper. Sometimes you get super lucky and work with a baby that makes your job a bit easier. Mak THE explorer.
It's hard to believe these little ones are almost two now! It was my first time working with twins. I was intimidated to say the least. I had no idea about the amount of cuddles and sleep that would go down!
Little Skylar is surrounded by so much love this only seems right.
Skylar's session was filled with flowers and Harley Davidson motorcycles. It was such a blast!
When both of your parents ride a Harley, so do you.
This is my daughter Cambria at 6 months old.
Meet Devon Simone and her best bud Remy ( Remy Martin). I was so excited to use this wreath and to work with such a darling 6 week old girl! Devon Simone was so curious of her surroundings.
Meet my cousins daughter Liliana. Liliana was born in December, so we went for an appropriate Christmas theme.
Ariyuki could not have made my job any easier. It was as though he is destined to be in front of the cameras.
Meet Ariyuki. Every now and again you have a session that sticks with you because it's magical. This particular session is that session for me this year to date. This handsome little guy was so sweet and great to work with. I was elated that his parents chose me to photograph their second born.
Mason was 2 weeks old in this image. It's hard to believe that this handsome little man is one now! We wanted to go for a clean classic look throughout his session. His mama did fantastic job on his wardrobe.
This is baby Jack and Sasha is his boxer dog. She was very interested in him and even cuddled him at one point during the session. I have a feeling these two will be best of friends.
